Pattaya —

Over 1,300 runners are set to join the upcoming “Pattaya Trail Run 2024” scheduled for August 18th.

On July 26th, 2024, Deputy Mayor Mr. Kritsana Boonsawat presided over a meeting to prepare for the Pattaya Trail Run’s 2nd edition. The meeting was attended by Pattaya City Council members and relevant officials, along with representatives from the Sports Tourism Office and Pattaya Running Association.

According to the event organizers, Pattaya Trail Run 2024 features the theme “Urban Jungle.” The race will start and finish at the Blue Event Area at the Bali Hai Pier. The route will provide participants with a unique opportunity to experience a morning run through the natural landscapes of Khao Phra Tamnak and Pattaya’s natural trails.

The goal of the event is to promote sports tourism in Pattaya, improve the international standards of trail running events, and boost Pattaya’s reputation as a sports tourism destination. Additionally, it aims to encourage local residents to engage in physical exercise.

The race will feature two categories, including a 5 km race and a 10 km race. Traffic will be restricted on specific routes including Khao Phra Tamnak and Khao Phra Yai roads. The 5 km race will start at 6:15 AM, while the 10 km race will begin at 5:45 AM. Race bibs and shirts can be collected on August 17th, 2024, at the Blue Event Area from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The event expects to attract 1,300 trail runners from across the country.
