Bryan Flowers explains why he is not eating until bars are allowed to reopen in Pattaya

Two things I love about Thais

The following is a video blog with Bryan Flowers, who talks about his recent decision to not eat until bars are allowed to reopen in Pattaya, which garnered some media attention and lots of discussion on some channels.

Pattaya Bars have been closed for seven months, although other areas like Phuket, Krabi, and Bangkok are open and/or unenforced, while Pattaya remains strongly enforced. Pattaya is, according to the City Mayor, over 80% fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and a “BLUE” tourism zone, yet alcohol sales even at restaurants remain banned in the town known for its vibrant nightlife. Authorities have not given a specific reason why, despite continued requests from business owners.

The decision primarily comes from the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, or CCSA, in Bangkok and is not a local decision.
