Chonburi province is holding the “Scent of the Earth, Local Way of Nong Phlap” festival to promote cultural tourism.

On August 2nd, 2024, at the Wat Velluwanaram in the Nong Phlap Village, Takian Tia sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province, Deputy Governor of Chonburi Mr. Prachaya Unpechwarakorn officially opened the “Scent of the Earth, Local Way of Nong Phlap” festival.

The event aims to position Chonburi as a top international tourist destination by highlighting the province’s local cultural heritage and traditions. The festival is organized by the Chonburi Provincial Cultural Office.

The festival will take place in three sessions throughout August. The first session, from August 2nd-3rd, features a mini-concert by Kan Tosan. The second session, on August 9th-10th, will showcase a mini-concert by Nepal The Voice. The third session, on August 16th-17th, will include a performance by Fern Kanyarat. All events will be held at Wat Velluwanaram from 4 to 10 PM.

The festival also features numerous food stalls selling local cuisine and products from the Takian Tia community.
