Pattaya-

On March 23, 2024, Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampiches inaugurated the vibrant Holi Festival Pattaya 2024. This annual event, celebrating the camaraderie of the Indian and Thai Sikh communities, was held at the central beachfront of Pattaya, Chonburi Province.

The festival, organized by the Thai-India Business Association Pattaya in collaboration with the city of Pattaya, the Indian Association Pattaya, the Hindu Parichat Engineering Association, and the Bharatiya Community Club (BCC), taking place from March 22nd to the 24th, 2024.

Holi Festival, marking the end of the year, is a joyous occasion rooted in Hindu tradition. Celebrated over two days in March (on the first waning moon of the fourth lunar month), it’s a time when people gather to throw colorful powders at each other, symbolizing friendship and joy.

The festival grounds were divided into three areas: an exhibition of Indian cuisine, a zone for religious observances and honoring sacred items, and a vibrant area dedicated to the color festivities. The event drew a lively crowd of tourists, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The final day of the festival, focused on Indian food and religious activities, is today, Sunday, the 24th, although there will not be any colour throwing.
