PATTAYA, Thailand – The semi-finals of the “Authentic Muay Thai: From Grassroots to Global” tournament for Zone 3 were officially launched at a temporary boxing arena set up at the Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya last night, September 10th. The event, part of the 2025 fiscal year’s annual competition, covers Thailand’s Central, Eastern, and Western regions.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Phongthasit Pichanant, Deputy Governor of Chonburi Province, with Mr. Krisana Boonsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, delivering a warm welcome to distinguished guests. Representatives from various organizations also attended the event in large numbers.

Organized by the Office of the Boxing Sports Committee, the Sports Authority of Thailand, the Professional Muay Thai Association of Thailand, Top Kings Boxing Co., Ltd., and the Chonburi Provincial Sports Authority, the tournament runs from September 4th to the 30th, 2025 across Thailand. Its objectives include preserving Muay Thai’s cultural heritage, building career opportunities, strengthening community ties, and promoting Muay Thai as a cultural, sporting, and tourism soft power. The event also aims to spotlight emerging young boxers from across the country.

Over 300 fighters from 16 camps nationwide are competing, with 16 matches held daily across five male weight classes and one female class. Winners will advance to the national finals.

The atmosphere at the venue was electric, drawing large crowds of both Thai and international spectators. The lively event not only showcased the spirit of Muay Thai but also boosted Pattaya’s tourism and cultural economy.
