What was once supposed to be a private fruit plantation, became Nongnooch Tropical Garden after Mrs Nongnooch noticed the beauty and reverence of the esteemed gardens of the world during her travels and decided to turn her would be orchard into one of the most beautiful gardens in the world. Luckily enough for us, because Nongnooch Garden is now among those revered and esteemed and we can visit whenever we like!

There is so much to see at Nongnooch that it behove you to plan it out as a full-day trip if you want to see it all, possibly 2 days if you have the time. The park is laid out over a vast area of 1700 rai (about 672 acres) of land. Get your walking shoes ready and make sure to bring plenty of water for the trip!

Stonehenge? Yeah, they’ve got one. Scattered throughout the garden you will find both cultural decorations as well as thousands of sculptures of different wildlife scattered around. In some places, you feel as though you have followed Alice down the rabbit hole.

Snails…
Cicadas…
and Ladybugs, Oh My!

Nongnooch is the perfect place to take your significant other or a loved one for a romantic and relaxing day out with just the two of you. The area is quiet, the surroundings are beautiful, and when the sun hits the park just right it is a magical place!

Without a doubt, those of you with children should visit. There is plenty for the kiddos to do and tons of cute photo opportunities to make “forever memories”! The garden offers fish feeding, awesome decorations that the kids will love, an elephant show, a car show (which we will discuss in a different article because it’s AWESOME!) and a whole new section of the park that will make your kid go crazy for dinosaurs!

Another interesting section of Nongnooch is the pottery garden exhibit. The area consists of thousands and thousands of clay pots that are set up in a way that makes you feel very satisfied when looking at it. It is a unique exhibit and a very beautiful one.

Nongnooch has been recognized as one of the top 10 most beautiful gardens in the world and receives more than 5,000 visitors every day. They have also received several other significant awards and mentions. There is even an on-site resort for people wishing to spend their holidays exploring the area.

It would take a week or more of constant photo taking to cover Nongnooch in its entirety. It is far better if you go and experience the beauty and sereneness of it all yourself. Nongnooch offers multiple different ticket packages on their website HERE. They are open from 8 am until 6 pm daily
