Pattaya, Thailand – February 25th, 2026 – Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet presided over a press conference today at the Redemptorist Foundation (Father Ray Foundation) Conference Center to officially announce the 13th St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, and is jointly organized by Pattaya City and the Father Ray Foundation.

Joining the mayor were Father Ko Kiat Disri, President of the Father Ray Foundation; Pattaya City Council member Banjong Buntoonprayuk; representatives from the Lions Club Pattaya Taksin District 310 C; members of the Irish community; and delegates from relevant government agencies and private sector businesses.

The parade, marking its 13th edition, is to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, build positive relationships among government, private sector, and community business owners, and promote tourism in Pattaya. The opening ceremony and parade launch will take place at the Central Pattaya Beach activity area. The procession will proceed along the city’s main routes before concluding and wrapping up at the field of Pattaya City School 8 (Wat Yansangwararam School, also known as Pattayanukul School).

Mayor Poramese Ngampichet stated that the event goes beyond celebrating Irish culture. “This year’s parade is not only a tribute to Irish traditions but also a key activity to stimulate the local economy and tourism in Pattaya,” he said. “The procession will move through the city’s main thoroughfares, amid the refreshing sea breeze waving green flags along Pattaya Beach, bringing excitement to our city. It promotes unity among government, private sector, and the public while enhancing Pattaya’s image as a premier destination capable of

hosting diverse events.”

St. Patrick’s Day is an annual Irish festival held on March 17th to honor St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Born in AD 385 and passing away on March 17, AD 461, St. Patrick is remembered for his missionary work in Ireland. Celebrants, both Irish and non-Irish, traditionally wear green, the dominant color on Ireland’s tricolor flag (green, white, and orange), to mark the occasion.

The parade invites everyone to join in the celebration of friendship and generosity. Participants are encouraged to donate in support of children and youth under the care of the Father Ray Foundation. For more details, follow the Father Ray Foundation’s Facebook page.

The public, residents of Pattaya, and tourists are cordially invited to witness the grandeur and fun of the Irish-themed procession at the “St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026” on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, starting from 4:00 PM onward.
