Pattaya, Thailand – On the evening of February 13th, 2026, Pattaya City officially launched the Pattaya Cultural Stage Project 2026 (โครงการลานวัฒนธรรมเมืองพัทยา ประจำปี 2569) at Central Pattaya Beach, inviting residents and tourists to immerse themselves in the charm of Thai cultural heritage.

At 6:00 PM, Poramese Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, presided over the opening ceremony. He was joined by Banlue Kullavanij, President of the Pattaya City Council, along with executives from schools under the city’s jurisdiction, heads of government agencies, and officials from the Education Office. Boongnam Lekcharoen, Director of the Education Promotion, Religion, and Culture Division, delivered the report on the event.

The ceremony drew a large crowd, including teachers and students from city-affiliated schools, parents, and numerous Thai and international tourists eager to experience the festivities.

Organized by the Pattaya City Education Office’s Division for Promoting Religion, Arts, and Culture, together with the city’s 11 schools, local communities, and private sector partners, the project is to promote, support, and preserve Thai heritage. It serves as a platform to showcase artistic handicrafts, local wisdom, and distinctive Thai cultural elements unique to Pattaya. Through student presentations, the event encourages youth and the public to appreciate the enduring value of Thai culture, passed down through generations, while showing the lifestyle and community traditions of Pattaya.

The main feature of the event are exhibition booths and sales stalls displaying handicrafts, products, traditional Thai foods, and desserts, all handmade by students from the 11 participating schools. Attendees can enjoy captivating performances, including classical Thai dance, Thai music ensembles, country music (luk thung), folk plays, and various traditional games led by the young performers.

The event has attracted lots of interest from both locals and visitors, with crowds gathering to watch the displays and performances. The Pattaya Cultural Stage Project 2026 continues through Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Central Pattaya Beach.

This annual event celebrates Thailand’s rich cultural legacy and also builds creativity among the younger generation, ensuring these national treasures are passed on for future generations. Residents and tourists are encouraged to visit and support the students’ efforts in preserving Pattaya’s cultural identity.
