Pattaya-

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Krishna Boonsawat and City Council Member Wuttithorn Saeng-urai joined thousands of runners at Central Pattaya Beach on Sunday morning for the “Ray Run Pattaya 2025” charity event, held under the uplifting theme Be the Rays of Hope for Children in Need.

Organized through a partnership between Pattaya City, the Father Ray Foundation, the Thailand Paralympic Sports Association, Lions Clubs International District 310C, and Inspire Runner, the race aimed to raise funds for ongoing programs supporting vulnerable children and people with disabilities.

Proceeds will directly benefit several Father Ray Foundation initiatives, including:

– Father Ray Children’s Village
– Pattaya Redemptorist Early Childhood Development Center
– Father Ray School for the Blind, Pattaya
– Redemptorist Vocational School for People with Disabilities, Pattaya

The inclusive event featured multiple race categories to ensure broad participation:
– 5 km and 3 km runs
– 1 km fun run for children
– 2.5 km wheelchair race

Runners registered as individuals, duos, families, children, people with disabilities, or wheelchair users. All net proceeds will be donated to the foundation, with donation receipts eligible for tax deductions under Thai law.

The beachfront was alive with energy and inspiration as participants—government officials, corporate teams, and local residents—ran together in a powerful display of community unity. Runners and supporters alike embodied the event’s message of passing on “rays of hope” through fitness, compassion, and collective action.
