PATTAYA, Thailand – The third edition of the Pattaya Film Festival 2025 opened with grandeur on August 28th, 2025, drawing a crowd of filmmakers, actors, and cinema enthusiasts from Thailand and beyond. Held at SF Cinema Central Pattaya, the festival offers free screenings and a host of engaging activities from August 28 to 30, 2025, aiming to position Pattaya as a UNESCO Creative City for Film while boosting the local economy and tourism.

The festival, organized by Pattaya City, celebrates the artistry, cultural exchange, and economic potential of Thai and international cinema. It shows Pattaya’s ambition to become a regional hub for the film industry, leveraging its status as a world-class tourism destination rich in culture and entertainment. The event promotes Thailand’s soft power through cinema, driving economic growth and tourism.

Pattaya Mayor Poramese “Beer” Ngampichet expressed confidence in the festival’s continued success, stating, “I firmly believe the third Pattaya Film Festival will elevate Thai cinema and create lasting value for the industry. I invite locals and tourists to immerse themselves in this cinematic experience and enjoy high-quality films from around the world.”

Highlights include the Thailand premiere of *Dream*, alongside a diverse lineup of 16 international and Thai films at SF Cinema Central Marina, such as *20,000 Species of Bees*, *Influencer*, *Alien: Earth*, *Kiss the Con Queen*, *Deeper*, *Renoir*, and Thai titles like *Viman Nam*, *Youth 2544*, *Mr. Hurt*, and more.Additionally, 16 open-air screenings will take place across four locations in Pattaya, featuring action-packed films with Thai star Tony Jaa at Na Kluea’s Bodhi Court, chilling horror like *Last Night* (premiere) at Hat Mai Krathueng Thong Temple with filmmaker discussions, family-friendly animations like *Khan Kluay* at Nong Yai Temple, and comedies such as *AI Exclusive* and *Gang Muang Puan Yaowarat* at Pattaya Central Beach.

The festival also features local food stalls and community product booths, offering authentic flavors and supporting Pattaya’s local economy.
