PATTAYA, Thailand – On July 24th, 2025, Deputy Mayor Manoch Nongyai chaired a preparatory meeting for the “3rd Pattaya Trail Run” at Meeting Room 242, Pattaya City Hall.
The meeting was attended by Sakchai Charoenyukongrod, Assistant Secretary to the Mayor, Pattaya Mayor’s advisors, heads of government departments, representatives from the Pattaya Running Association, and other relevant agencies.
Scheduled for Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Blue Activity Area at Bali Hai Pier, the event is organized by Pattaya City in collaboration with the Pattaya Running Association and the Tourism and Sports Department. The trail run aims to reinforce Pattaya’s image as a Sports City while promoting sports tourism and elevating the event to international standards.
The meeting covered comprehensive planning, including venue usage, stage setup, traffic management, security measures, provision of mobile restrooms, and promotional strategies across various media platforms. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing security, with an additional two officers assigned per checkpoint. Organizers also agreed to request cooperation from boat operators to suspend operations at the pier from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and to prohibit parking at the Blue Activity Area from August 2 to 3, 2025.
The competition offers two race distances: 5 kilometers and 10 kilometers. The route starts at the Blue Activity Area, passes through the lighthouse area, continues to the public park and tunnel, proceeds to Big Buddha Hill and Wang Sam Sian, and loops back to the starting point. Traffic will be closed around the Lan Pho intersection and the road in front of the Royal Cliff Hotel from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A large turnout of runners from across Thailand is expected.
