Pattaya, Thailand – June 20th, 2026
The 18th Pattaya Open Swimming Competition officially opened today at the swimming pool of Pattaya City School 11 (Pattaya Demonstration Secondary School).
Mr. Kiattisak Sriwongchai, City Clerk of Pattaya, serving as Acting Mayor, assigned Mr. Wisitsak Wongworachat, Director of the Tourism Development Division under the Tourism and Sports Bureau, to preside over the opening ceremony. The event was attended by school administrators from Pattaya City School 11, participating athletes, coaches, parents, and relevant officials.

The competition, organized by the Pattaya Tourism and Sports Bureau together with the Pattaya Swimming Club, runs from June 20 to 21, 2026. Its objectives are to build unity among participants, promote physical fitness among youth and the general public, provide athletes with ongoing competitive experience, and enhance Pattaya’s image as a “Sports City” while boosting sports tourism.

The event also is to encourage young people and residents to use their free time productively, develop swimming skills, and elevate the standard and appeal of swimming competitions in the city. Winners in each category will receive trophies and educational scholarships from Pattaya City.
The competition continues tomorrow, Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 08:00 to 17:00 hrs at the same venue. Pattaya City invites the public to come cheer on the young athletes. Admission is free.
