PATTAYA, Thailand – On August 9th, 2025, Pattaya City, in collaboration with the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand under Royal Patronage and the Heroes Taekwondo Club, proudly launched the “8th Heroes Taekwondo International Championship 2025.” The opening ceremony, held at 1:00 PM at the Eastern National Sports Center’s Indoor Stadium in Pattaya, Chonburi Province, was presided over by Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampichet.
The event saw Mr. Poramese presenting plaques to participating clubs and medals to athletes, joined by Mr. Maitree Kongruang, President of the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand, and representatives from the Taekwondo Association of Thailand. Ms. Cassandra Haller, the event’s organizing committee president, delivered the opening report, marking the start of this prestigious international competition.

Held from August 9-10, 2025, at the Eastern National Sports Center, the championship aims to inspire youth and individuals with disabilities while providing a platform for disabled athletes to showcase their skills alongside global competitors. The event also promotes Pattaya and Thailand as premier hosts for international sports events, boosting the local tourism economy. Over 5,000 participants, including athletes and their entourages from 30 countries, are taking part, reinforcing Pattaya’s reputation as a Sports City and a hub for sports tourism.
