Pattaya City recently collaborated with the Extreme Sports Association of Thailand to host the Thailand Extreme Fest 2024 from May 17th-19th at the Central Pattaya shopping mall to promote extreme sports, develop local athletes, and enhance Pattaya’s reputation as a sports and tourism destination.

The festival featured competitions in skateboarding, inline skating, speed skating, and BMX cycling. Over 400 athletes from across Thailand participated in the event.

The Thailand Extreme Fest 2024 highlighted the growing popularity of extreme sports worldwide, including in China, Japan, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. The event organizers decided to host the event with a mission to attract tourists to Pattaya to contribute to the city’s tourism economy.

The festival was a big success as it also solidified Pattaya’s position as a world-famous sports city, the organizers said.
