Pattaya, Thailand – February 13th, 2026 – The Pattaya International Beach Football Cup 2026 officially launched this afternoon with an opening ceremony at Jomtien Beach, in front of the D Varee Hotel.
Kritsana Boonsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, presided over the event as the chief guest. He was joined by the Vice President of the Pattaya City Council, council members, representatives from the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization, the Assistant Secretary to the Pattaya City Council President, and Mr. Niels Colov, Chairman of the Pattaya People Media Group. The Director of the Tourism Development Division delivered the report on the event.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from participating national teams, relevant officials, media personnel, and local enthusiasts, creating a great atmosphere on the sandy shores.

The tournament, running from February 13 to 19, 2026, is to encourage youth and residents to engage in beneficial leisure activities through sports, enhance beach football skills and experience, develop unity among foreign residents, professionals, locals, and city agencies, and promote Pattaya’s image as a Sports City and hub for sports tourism. It also seeks to attract more visitors, generate income, and stimulate the local economy.
This year’s edition features exciting international participation, with teams from eight countries: **Thailand**, **Russia**, **Japan**, **Norway**, **Finland**, **India**, **Germany**, and **England**. The competition is divided into two categories for men’s amateur/open divisions:

– Elite Category: 4 teams
– Social Category: 6 teams
Winners in each category will receive prestigious trophies and cash prizes sponsored by Pattaya City.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Mayor Kritsana Boonsawat spoke to the appeal of beach football as a widely popular, exciting, and year-round sport. He discussed Pattaya’s commitment to developing athletes through annual tournaments, aligning with national policies to promote sports cities and sports tourism. He expressed confidence that the event would add excitement to Pattaya, boost the local economy through increased visitor spending, and elevate the standard of international beach football competitions in the city.

Matches will take place daily starting from 5:00 PM onward at the Jomtien Beach venue until the final on February 19. The venue is free to enter and watch and located across from the Dvaree Hotel by Yaimak market.
