Pattaya December 20th, 2025– The 17th edition of the “Walk and Eat in Naklua” festival officially kicked off on the evening of December 20th, presided over by Pattaya City Mayor Poramese Ngampichet. The event, held in Naklua across from Lan Pho Park, is to promote cultural tourism, stimulate the local community economy, and preserve the traditional way of life of the Naklua fishing community.
The opening ceremony drew a lively crowd, including Pattaya City administrators such as deputy mayors, the president of the Pattaya City Council, chief advisors, secretary assistants, council members, the Banglamung District Chief, representatives from the Ministry of Culture and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Pattaya Office), community leaders, and enthusiastic locals and tourists.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including stalls selling authentic local dishes with traditional flavors, fresh seafood straight from the community, demonstrations of local wisdom and crafts, cultural performances, and a signature “walk and taste” experience along the community’s pathways. The festivities created a warm, colorful atmosphere, blending food, culture, and community spirit.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Poramese explained the deeper significance of the event: “Today’s ‘Walk and Eat in Naklua’ is a street of art and the community’s identity. We have integrated street art with local ways of life, ensuring every road tells a story, bursts with color, and inspires. The street art and craft elements in this event represent a key step in city development that respects our roots while embracing new ideas.”

The festival, a beloved annual tradition, runs on weekends and continues until late January 2026, offering visitors a chance to savor Naklua’s heritage while supporting local vendors.
