Pattaya, Thailand – December 19th, 2025– The city of Pattaya officially kicked off its grand year-end light festival on Friday evening, illuminating 11 iconic landmarks with dazzling displays under the theme “PATTAYA THE SEALEBRATION OF LIGHT AND LEGACY.” The event not only ushers in festive cheer but also pays tribute to the enduring legacy of Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
At 7:00 PM, Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet, joined by Banglamung District Chief Anusak Piriyom, city administrators, council members, and local officials, presided over the opening ceremony amid an enthusiastic crowd.
The festival wants to spread joy during the holiday season while honoring the profound contributions of Her Royal Majesty Queen Sirikit to Thailand in areas such as culture, health, conservation, and education.Key highlights include two special exhibitions: one at Jomtien Beach showcasing Her Majesty’s royal initiatives in preserving Thai textiles, public health, forest conservation, traditional khon performing arts, and education; and another at Dusit Curve focusing on ocean restoration and sea turtle conservation.
Pattaya has transformed into a glittering wonderland with light installations and photo check-in spots at 11 major locations across the city, inviting residents and tourists to capture memorable moments by the seaside:1. Central island on Sukhumvit Road, Central Pattaya
2. Under the motorway overpass intersection
3. Central island on Sukhumvit Road, North Pattaya
4. Central island on North Pattaya Road
5. Pattaya City Hall
6. Lan Pho Public Park, Naklua
7. Dolphin Roundabout
8. Arch in front of OZO Hotel
9. Dusit Curve
10. Pattaya Beach Road
11. Jomtien BeachThe illuminations will be switched on daily from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM, running from December 19th, 2025, through January 4th, 2026. On New Year’s Eve, December 31st, the lights will remain on until 5:00 AM on January 1st, 2026.
City officials extended a warm invitation to everyone to immerse themselves in the magical atmosphere of lights, colors, and cherished memories, experiencing Pattaya’s world-class nightlife glowing brighter than ever.
