Pattaya, Thailand – On Thursday, March 26th, 2026, at 1:00 PM, Pattaya City Mayor Poramese Ngamphichet presided over a coordination meeting for the upcoming international wheelchair fencing event, the “2026 Para Fencing World Cup Pattaya, Thailand.”

The meeting, held in Meeting Room 131 at Pattaya City Hall, was attended by Mr. Phumiphiphat Kamolnat, Secretary to the Mayor, the Director of the Tourism Development Division, and other relevant officials. Representatives from the Thai Wheelchair Fencing Association for the Disabled, led by Association President Mr. Kittiphong Hatthawaykan, presented detailed plans for organizing the competition.

The Thai Wheelchair Fencing Association for the Disabled has been honored by the World Para Fencing Federation to host the prestigious “2026 Para Fencing World Cup Pattaya, Thailand.” The event is scheduled to take place from August 30 to September 2, 2026, in Pattaya, Chonburi Province.

The primary objectives of hosting the World Cup are to elevate the skills of Thai para-athletes to international standards and to strengthen Pattaya’s image as a Sports City on the global stage. During the meeting, the association sought Pattaya City’s support to serve as a co-host. They requested the use of the Eastern National Sports Center in Pattaya as the main venue and assistance with various logistical arrangements to ensure the event runs smoothly.

Mayor Poramese Ngamphichet expressed Pattaya’s full willingness to co-host the competition. He confirmed that the city will provide the venue, necessary facilities, personnel for safety and convenience, and full support for the event.

The Mayor instructed the association to submit an official letter to Pattaya City inviting all relevant agencies to participate in further preparatory meetings. He also assigned the Tourism and Sports Office to act as the main coordinating body moving forward.

This international sporting event is expected to bring significant benefits to Pattaya, enhancing its reputation as a premier Sports Tourism destination while promoting inclusivity and Paralympic sports in Thailand.
