Pattaya, November 20th 2025 – At 10:00 a.m. yesterday, Pattaya City Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampichet, together with Deputy Mayor Mr. Manoch Nongyai, personally delivered operational guidelines and policy directives to more than a hundred newly contracted street-sweeping and cleaning workers at Meeting Room 241, Pattaya City Hall.

The briefing session was also attended by the Mayor’s secretarial team, heads of relevant departments, and officials from the Cleanliness Control Division and Pollution Control Division under the Natural Resources and Environment Office.

As one of Thailand’s top tourist destinations that welcomes millions of visitors every year, Pattaya generates a massive daily volume of municipal waste. With the existing permanent cleaning staff insufficient to cover all areas, the city has supplemented its workforce by hiring additional contract laborers. Today’s meeting served as the official orientation before these workers begin their duties under the newly signed contracts.

Mayor Poramese and Deputy Mayor Manoch stressed to every worker the critical role they play in shaping Pattaya’s image. “Please carry out your duties with full responsibility and integrity,” the Mayor said. “Keeping our roads and communities clean is the heart of Pattaya’s reputation and directly improves the quality of life for residents and the experience of every visitor.”

The leaders urged the team to work with pride, adhere strictly to standards, and help ensure no complaints arise from poor performance. They stressed that collective effort in maintaining cleanliness is essential for sustainable urban development and for making Pattaya a cleaner, more beautiful city every day.

The new cleaning teams will immediately begin operations across community areas and main thoroughfares, with special focus on high-traffic zones as the city prepares for the upcoming high season and major events.
