Pattaya, Thailand

City officials held a preparatory meeting on December 15th, 2025, to finalize plans for the 17th edition of the popular “Walk and Eat in Naklua festival, aimed at promoting local arts, culture, food, and sustainable economic growth in the historic Na Kluea community.

The meeting took place in Conference Room 231 at Pattaya City Hall, chaired by Deputy Mayor Mr. Wuthisak Rermkijakarn. He was joined by fellow Deputy Mayor Mr. Damrongkiat Pinijkarn, city executives, department heads, relevant agencies, and representatives from the event’s contracted company.

The festival is scheduled to run for six consecutive weekends, every Saturday and Sunday, from December 20-21, 2025, through January 24-25, 2026, totaling 12 days in the Na Kluea community area.

Key objectives include boosting tourism through art, culture, and cuisine; stimulating the local economy; expanding trade opportunities; and distributing income equitably to residents.

Discussions focused on creative event formats, including zones for local and fresh seafood dishes, cultural performances and live music on stage, sales areas for community products and OTOP (One Tambon One Product) goods, safety measures, tourist convenience, traffic management, and cleanliness.

This year’s highlights feature enhanced lighting, colors, and sound for an immersive atmosphere. In the Thai Sin and Yok Rong Ya alleys, walls have been transformed with wall paintings to create “street art alleys,” adding charm to the old Na Kluea neighborhood.

Additional attractions include outdoor movie screenings (two films per day) at the Pae Kong Shrine, demonstrations of traditional fishing and cooking, community-style crafts reflecting local lifestyles and identity, and welcoming visitors with the event’s mascot, “Nong Na Kluea.”

Deputy Mayor Wuthisak stressed close teamwork among all sectors to ensure the event runs smoothly, impresses visitors and residents alike, and builds sustainable income and community strength.

The festival continues Pattaya’s efforts to position itself as an everyday destination for sports, tourism, and cultural experiences.
