PATTAYA, Thailand – On October 7th, 2025, Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampichet assigned Ms. Wipawadee Wongsirisut, Acting Director of the Tourism and Sports Bureau, to chair a planning meeting for the upcoming “RCOST RUN 2025.” The meeting, held at Meeting Room 242 in Pattaya City Hall, was attended by department heads, officials, and relevant agencies to ensure the event’s success.

Organized by Pattaya City together with the Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand (RCOST), the “RCOST RUN 2025” walk-run event is scheduled for Friday, October 24th, 2025, at Khao Phra Yai Public Park and Chaloem Phrakiat Park on Phratamnak Hill in Chonburi. The event aims to promote physical fitness among doctors, nurses, and medical personnel while inspiring the public to prioritize exercise. Additionally, it seeks to enhance Pattaya’s reputation as a “Sports City” and a hub for sustainable sports tourism.

The event not only encourages physical and mental well-being but also builds knowledge-sharing and networking among medical professionals and the public. It will coincide with the RCOST-COA-HKOA 2025 academic conference, focusing on advancements, techniques, and innovations in orthopaedics.

The “RCOST RUN 2025” features two race categories: a 2 km and a 5 km run, divided into age groups: Men (40–49 years), Women (50–59 years), and an OVERALL category (60 years and above). Participants will receive running shirts, sponsor giveaways, and enjoy free food and drinks, along with fun activities throughout the event.

To ensure safety and convenience, Pattaya City requests that the public avoid using the route from Khao Thapphraya Road, Soi 1, to the Bali Hai Pier Lighthouse from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM on October 24th, 2025.
