Pattaya, November 20th, 2025 – Mr. Sak Wongworachat, Director of the Tourism Development Division, chaired a coordination meeting yesterday to prepare for the “Taste, Shop, Cheer by MOC” event, which will run alongside the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand next month.

The meeting, held in Room 231 of Pattaya City Hall, was attended by Pattaya City Council members, heads of government departments, and relevant agencies.

The “Taste, Shop, Cheer by MOC” initiative, organised by the Ministry of Commerce, is to generate income for entrepreneurs and stimulate the economy during the SEA Games by offering food and souvenirs to local residents, athletes, tourists, and supporters attending competitions across various venues.

A key focus is supporting SMEs from seven Thai-Cambodian border provinces that have been affected by recent border situations. The event provides these businesses with an opportunity to recover losses and earn additional revenue during the regional sporting spectacle.

In Chonburi province, the Chonburi Provincial Commerce Office is the lead coordinator. Working with commerce offices across the Eastern Economic Corridor, the event will feature 40 entrepreneurs from eight eastern provinces: Chonburi, Nakhon Nayok, Trat, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, and Chachoengsao.

Visitors can expect a wide variety of products, including fresh seafood, fresh and processed fruits, herbal drinks, tie-dye clothing, organic massage oils, agricultural goods, and famous local specialties.

The activity forms part of the government’s “Quick Big Win” policy, with the Ministry of Commerce working with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and eastern provincial commerce offices to revive Thai-Cambodian border trade and energize the economies of SEA Games host provinces.

As the event coincides with Pattaya’s annual International Jazz Festival, booths will be set up along Beach Road from Soi 9 all the way to Central Pattaya shopping centre. Organisers have instructed all vendors to use environmentally friendly containers and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

The public and tourists are warmly invited to visit the “Taste, Shop, Cheer by MOC” zone and support entrepreneurs from the eight eastern provinces.
