Pattaya, Thailand – On the evening of February 20th, 2026, at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet welcomed participants to the Pattaya Squid Fair 2026, an event held under the enchanting theme Fisherman’s Fantasy Village. The two-day festival, running from February 20 to 21, was to promote cultural tourism while generating income for local fishing communities.
The opening ceremony featured key figures from the city and region, including representatives from various sectors. Ms. Chutima Jiramongkol, President of the Pattaya City Business and Tourism Association, Chonburi, delivered a report on the event’s objectives. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Wittaya Khunplome, President of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization, who presided over the official opening.

The fair features a variety of booths offering fresh seafood, local delicacies, and community products. Highlights include art workshops led by enterprises from Koh Larn, showcasing traditional fishing folklore through artistic presentations.
Adding to the seaside charm, the Thailand Sailing Association and Pattaya Sailing Association presented sailboat demonstrations. Youth performers entertained crowds with folk songs, while a special seafood dipping sauce preparation demo was conducted by the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization President and the Pattaya Mayor. Visitors also enjoyed the lively Sea Fun Challenge games, with prizes up for grabs, creating an energetic atmosphere along the beach throughout the event.

In his remarks, Mayor Poramese Ngampichet spoke about Pattaya’s commitment to building teamwork between government, private sector, and community members to sustainably develop cultural tourism activities. He expressed hope that the Pattaya Squid Fair 2026 would stimulate grassroots economic growth, create new opportunities for residents, and leave lasting impressions on all visitors.

The event continues to draw crowds with its blend of fresh seafood, beachfront entertainment, live music, and imaginative displays celebrating Pattaya’s maritime heritage.
