Pattaya, Thailand – Recently, Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet delegated Deputy City Clerk Siwatch Boonkerd to represent the city at a press conference announcing the Pattaya Squid Fair 2026. The event, themed “Fisherman’s Fantasy Village”, was presented in teamwork with Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) Chairman Vichit Youplerm and various government and private sector partners.

The press conference took place at the ground-floor activity area of Central Pattaya shopping center in Chonburi Province.

A big part of the press event was a special performance of the royal composition song “Koh Nai Fan” (Island in a Dream) by elementary school students from Pattaya Municipality School 4 (Wat Nong Yai).

Deputy City Clerk Siwatch Boonkerd discussed with The Pattaya News team Pattaya’s commitment to promoting creative tourism while preserving local identity. “The Pattaya Squid Fair 2026 is a key activity that stimulates the tourism economy, generates income for local entrepreneurs, and offers residents and visitors a chance to experience fishermen’s way of life in a contemporary style amid the beautiful Jomtien Beach atmosphere,” he said.

He added that Pattaya Municipality is fully prepared to support year-round tourism activities in 2026 to elevate the city to a world-class quality tourism destination.

The Pattaya Squid Fair 2026 is scheduled for February 20–21, 2026, at Jomtien Beach near the Yaimak Market, roughly halfway down the beach and easily accessible by Baht bus. Activities begin at 4:00 p.m. onward each day, with free admission throughout the event.

The festival transforms Jomtien Beach into an immersive “Fisherman’s Fantasy Village,” blending traditional fishing heritage with imaginative, magical elements. Attendees can enjoy fresh seafood, including squid specialties from local vendors, beachfront dining, live music, cultural displays, and family-friendly entertainment that celebrates Pattaya’s coastal roots.
