Pattaya officially wrapped up the Pattaya Open International Taekwondo Championship 2023 on Saturday, April 22nd.

The competition was organized in collaboration between Pattaya City and the Gyeong-gi-do Taekwondo Association from South Korea. It was the 4th consecutive year of the championship tournament taking place in Pattaya.

The aim of the event was to develop taekwondo skills among youth athletes in Pattaya and the surrounding area. Over 1,200 athletes from 6 countries participated in the competition, which included multiple categories. The contest successfully attracted numerous enthusiastic spectators and promoted tourism in the area, showcasing Pattaya as a Sports City and a destination for sports tourism, as promoted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
