PATTAYA, Thailand – Recently, Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampichet, joined by Mr. Phumpipat Kamolnath, Secretary to the Mayor, Ms. Wipawadee Wongsirisut, Acting Director of the Tourism and Sports Bureau, and other relevant officials, met with external partners to plan the upcoming “Diwali” festival. The meeting, held together with Mr. Wiangthep Rattanasang, General Store Manager of Central Pattaya, outlined the event set to take place on October 20th, 2025, at Central Pattaya shopping mall.

The Diwali festival, also known as the Festival of Lights, aims to promote cultural heritage and enhance tourism in Pattaya by showcasing a variety of activities, including cultural performances, authentic Indian cuisine, and celebrations of this globally recognized festival. The event is designed to highlight Pattaya’s commitment to hosting diverse international festivals that attract visitors from around the world.
Mayor Poramese stated that the Diwali festival presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen cultural ties between the local community and international tourists, particularly those from India. He noted that the event will enhance Pattaya’s image as a culturally diverse destination, reinforcing its status as a hub for tourism.

The festival is expected to draw both locals and visitors.
