Pattaya, Thailand – July 3rd, 2026 – Pattaya City is set to welcome boxing superstar Tyson Fury for a high-profile heavyweight professional bout as part of the “HEAVYWEIGHT SHOWDOWN” event scheduled for July 24, 2026, at the Max Muay Thai Stadium.

Mr. Kiattisak Sriwongchai, Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City acting as Mayor, chaired a coordination meeting on Thursday afternoon with relevant city departments and event organizers. Representatives from ISS Corporation, on behalf of Tyson Fury’s ISS Boxing Gym, Goldstar Boxing Promotions, and Queensberry Promotions, presented details of the event.

The main attraction will see legendary heavyweight champion Tyson Fury face Polish fighter Marius Wach in what promoters describe as a major international showdown. The event has received official sanctioning from the World Boxing Council (WBC).

Beyond the sporting spectacle, the bout carries a significant charitable dimension. Tyson Fury has agreed to fight without taking a purse, with all net proceeds from ticket sales directed to the Father Ray Foundation. The foundation supports orphans, children with disabilities, underprivileged youth, and vulnerable groups, an initiative that aligns closely with Pattaya’s policies promoting social responsibility.

In exchange for official support, the organizers have requested permission to use the Pattaya City logo and assistance with publicity through the city’s communication channels, tourism networks, and media outlets. Pattaya has also been asked to help coordinate the press conference, weigh-in, and liaison with relevant agencies.

City officials expect approximately 1,500 Thai and international tourists to attend, generating substantial economic benefits for local hotels, restaurants, transportation services, shopping centers, entertainment venues, and tourism businesses. The appearance of one of the world’s most recognizable boxing figures is anticipated to attract extensive international media coverage, particularly from the United Kingdom and Europe.

The event will also feature in Season 3 of the Netflix documentary and reality series about Tyson Fury providing long-term global exposure for Pattaya as a premier destination for world-class sports and entertainment.

Mr. Kiattisak Sriwongchai said the “HEAVYWEIGHT SHOWDOWN” represents an excellent opportunity for Pattaya to demonstrate its capability as a host for international sporting events.

“This is a chance to enhance Pattaya’s image as a world-class tourism destination for sports, entertainment, and international business,” he stated. He confirmed the city’s willingness to support promotion, media coordination, and overall event preparation, assigning the Tourism and Sports Bureau to serve as the main liaison.

Ticket details are set to be announced next week.
