Pattaya City is inviting everyone to join the traditional Wan Lai Naklua Festival, which will be held on Thursday, April 18th, at Lan Pho Naklua Public Park.

The purpose of the festival is to preserve and promote local arts and cultural traditions and respect the elderly, which are the traditional aspects of Songkran. The festival will feature a merit-making ceremony with alms offering to Buddhist monks, a water pouring ceremony to bless Buddha statues and elders, a flower parade, and various Thai cultural performances. The festival will take place at Lan Pho Naklua Public Park from 7:30 AM onwards.

One-way traffic will be implemented from Sawangfa Traffic Light.

Later in the afternoon will be water fighting and an expected number of tens of thousands of people lining the streets on foot and on vehicles to participate.

Road closures will be in effect from 2:30 PM to 9:30 PM as follows:

  • Sawangfa Road: One-way traffic from Sukhumvit Road towards Namchai Intersection
  • Naklua Road: One-way traffic from Namchai Intersection towards Photisarn Intersection
  • Photisarn Road: One-way traffic from Photisarn Intersection towards Sukhumvit Road
  • Pho Ngam Road: One-way traffic from Lan Pho Intersection towards Sawangboriboon Foundation
