Over 2,000 runners participated in an exhilarating morning adventure in the 2nd Pattaya Trail Run early this morning.
At 5:35 AM on August 18th, 2024, at the Blue Activity Area at the Bali Hai Pier, Mr. Manoch Nongyai, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, presided over the opening ceremony of the 2nd Pattaya Trail Run 2024.
Pattaya City, in collaboration with the Pattaya Running Association and the Sports Authority of Thailand, organized the Pattaya Trail Run 2024 under the theme “Forest in the City.” The race took place in areas including the Blue Activity Area at the Bali Hai Pier, Khao Phra Tamnak, and Khao Phra Yai in Pattaya, with the start and finish line at the Blue Activity Area.
The event aimed to promote tourism in Pattaya, encourage the general public to engage in outdoor exercise, and showcase new and interesting aspects of Pattaya City. The event also supported the Thai government’s policy of developing Pattaya as a Sports City and promoting sports tourism.
The competition was divided into three categories, including a 10-kilometer race starting at 5:45 AM, a 5-kilometer race starting at 6:15 AM, and a 3-kilometer race starting at 6:25 AM.
The award ceremony and the closing of the event were held at 7:00 AM. Over 2,000 people attended this adventurous trail run, and the event was considered a massive success by event organizers.
