Pattaya, Thailand, July 9th 2026– The Pattaya Running Association, along with Pattaya City, is moving forward with the organization of the “4th Pattaya Trail Run 2026.” All 1,500 available slots for the event have already been filled by both Thai and international runners, with organizers anticipating an economic boost of more than 4 million baht for the city.
A preparatory meeting was held today at the Pattaya City Hall meeting room, chaired by Mr. Wisitsak Wongworachat, Director of the Tourism Development Division. Mr. Chukiat Nongyai, President of the Pattaya Running Association, along with the organizing team, presented detailed plans for the event.
The 4th Pattaya Trail Run is a joint event between Pattaya City’s Tourism and Sports Office and the Pattaya Running Association. It is scheduled for Sunday, 2 August 2026, at the Blue Activity Ground in Laem Bali Hai, South Pattaya. Participants can choose between two distances: a 5-kilometer and a 10-kilometer trail run.
The race routes will utilize areas around Khao Phratamnak. Roads will be temporarily closed from the Bali Hai roundabout to the entrance of the helicopter parking area. Organizers have assured residents and visitors that traffic disruption will be minimal, as the closures will occur during early morning hours when traffic volume is low. All roads are expected to reopen by 9:30 a.m.
The 10 km race will start at 6:00 a.m. with a cutoff time of 9:30 a.m., while the 5 km race begins at 6:30 a.m. and closes at 9:00 a.m. To support participants, shuttle buses will operate from Pattaya City School 8 starting at 4:00 a.m.
With the event now at full capacity, the strong turnout of both local and foreign runners is expected to significantly stimulate tourism and the local economy during the peak tourist season. The influx of visitors is projected to generate substantial revenue for businesses in the Pattaya area.
