PATTAYA, Thailand — On June 18th, 2026, Pattaya City officials joined representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and POP MART to officially launch “POP ON THE BEACH,” the world’s first Art Toys landmark on a beachfront, at the new POP MART Official Store on the first floor of Central Pattaya (Beach Side).
Mr. Kiattisak Sriwongchai, Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City acting as Mayor, presided over the opening ceremony alongside Mr. Apichai Chatchelimkit, TAT Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing, and Ms. Siriporn Phlaengchanthuek, Head of Southeast Asia for POP MART. Distinguished guests and members of the media attended the event.

POP MART (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has created a major new attraction for Pattaya by establishing this groundbreaking beachfront Art Toys installation together with TAT and Pattaya City. This is to elevate Thailand’s tourism image through a fresh blend of Art Toys, pop culture, and lifestyle tourism. The official POP MART store at Central Pattaya opened to the public on June 19th, 2026.

“POP ON THE BEACH” seeks to reposition Pattaya as a Contemporary Lifestyle Destination by fusing art, lifestyle, and contemporary culture. The project targets younger travelers, Art Toy collectors, and global pop culture enthusiasts, positioning Pattaya as a new “Must-Visit Destination” on the international stage.
Visitors can experience large-scale Installation Art right on Pattaya Beach featuring four massive balloons, each 12 meters long and 8 meters high, under the concept “CRYBABY Cry Me An Ocean Series.” The display artistically interprets emotions, feelings, and healing through an underwater world from the unique perspective of the CRYBABY character. Popular figures including SKULLPANDA and MOLLY also appear in oversized Art Toy sculptures, creating an experiential photo landmark that merges art, lifestyle, and the charm of Pattaya Beach in a never-before-seen format.

In addition to the landmark, POP MART has announced social and environmental initiatives under the concept “SAVE THE BEACH.” These include beach clean-up activities in partnership with local networks to restore the coastal ecosystem, promote environmental awareness, and encourage community and tourist participation.
Mr. Kiattisak Sriwongchai stated, “Pattaya is committed to developing the city into a destination that meets the needs of diverse tourist groups across lifestyle, art, culture, and entertainment. This collaboration with POP MART and TAT represents a big step in modernizing Pattaya’s image, reaching new generations of travelers, and creating memorable new experiences for visitors from around the world.”
