Pattaya, Thailand – The second edition of the Football Pattaya Cup 2026 concluded on May 16th, 2026, at the Pattaya City School 7 (Ban Nong Phang Kae) football stadium in Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province. The tournament, which ran from May 2 to May 16, successfully reinforced Pattaya’s image as a “Sports City” while promoting community harmony through grassroots football.
Mayor Poramese Ngamphichet and Deputy Mayor Krisana Boonsawat presided over the closing ceremony and presented awards to the winners. They were joined by Pattaya City Council members, Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization representatives, and distinguished guests.

The competition featured two categories, Open (general public) and Senior, providing local residents an opportunity to showcase their talents, stay active, and strengthen community bonds. The event aligned with Pattaya’s policies on developing the city into a Sports City and advancing sports tourism to boost quality of life and the local economy.
In the highly anticipated Open category final, Huai Yai Classic faced Isan Pattaya Club. The first half belonged to Isan Pattaya, who stormed into a 2-0 lead, delighting their supporters. Huai Yai Classic mounted a strong comeback in the second half, equalizing the score at 2-2.

However, the match descended into chaos in the closing stages. A Huai Yai Classic player was shown a red card, triggering frustration among spectators. Upset fans threw water bottles onto the pitch, forcing the referee to blow the whistle and abandon the remainder of the match. The championship was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout, with Isan Pattaya Club emerging victorious 7-6 to claim the 2026 Pattaya Cup title.
Throughout the tournament, strong participation and positive feedback from players and fans highlighted the power of sport in building health, relationships, and community strength. Organizers expressed satisfaction with the overall success of the event and thanked everyone for their cooperation.
