Was pleasantly surprised when my Grab order arrived today.  The meal that they carried was one of the best I’ve had this year for sure.  Decided to try something new so I went for a place called Surprise! (at least if it was terrible it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise).  This is definitely one of those restaurants where you get what you pay for.  The ribs were on discount 20% and a large portion with 320 grams of fall-off-the-bone ribs, fries and a salad came up to 220 baht (can’t really beat the price).

Sorry, we were already devouring the meal by the time I thought about taking photos.  These are the exact meals that we got from photos on Trip Advisor though.

The missus ordered a 2 piece pork filet mignon set wrapped in bacon (also with fries and a salad).  To our pleasant surprise the fries were really thick-cut style “chips”. Her meal was 190 Baht.

Next, the packaging.  If you are like me, you don’t want your sauces making everything soggy.  This was the best package job I’ve seen from a restaurant yet.  The chips were in a box (still very fresh and crispy).  The box also contained a separate bowl that had the salad in it and each meal came with a choice of sauce on the side so as not to make everything all mingled and mashed.

Needless to say, we’ll be ordering again and putting out a good word for the restaurant. Less than 500 baht for the both of us to eat a well-balanced meal with a little bit of everything the body needs?  Absolutely!  It was also delicious.  The BBQ sauce was a tangy southern style American BBQ sauce that is apparently made in-house.  The place is well worth a shot if you are getting bored of the same-old-same-old.
