Pattaya, Chonburi – February 13th, 2026
Prominent Thai businessman Tan Phasakornnatee has officially unveiled “One Chichan” (วันชีจรรย์), a major new development transforming the Khao Chi Chan area in Chonburi Province into Thailand’s premier festival destination. The project wants to address the growing demand in the live entertainment industry by providing a dedicated outdoor venue for large-scale concerts and music festivals, both national and international.

Spanning over 160 rai (approximately 64 acres), One Chichan is designed as a scalable open-air venue capable of accommodating between 2,500 and 30,000 attendees. The site features comprehensive infrastructure to overcome common challenges faced by events concentrated in Bangkok (which host over 90% of major festivals). Key facilities include efficient traffic management, security systems, more than 200 restrooms, and parking for over 4,000 vehicles.

The location offers excellent accessibility: roughly 2 hours from Bangkok, just 20 minutes from U-Tapao Airport, and 30 minutes from central Pattaya. Additional amenities enhance its appeal as a holistic destination, including restaurants, cafes, five hotels, a man-made beach, and a closed-loop waste management system committed to sustainability.

To mark the official opening and test the venue’s full capabilities, the inaugural event, “WONDER ONE Music Festival” will take place over two days on February 14-15, 2026. The festival features prominent Thai artists performing on stage, drawing crowds to experience the site’s potential before it scales up to host international acts.

Tan Phasakornnatee, the driving force behind the project, envisions One Chichan evolving into a full-fledged “event city” within the next five years. He describes it as the “Thonglor of Pattaya” , a premium, major hub, and the “Khao Yai by the sea,” blending natural beauty with world-class entertainment.

The development has received local support for its economic benefits. Mr. Somboon Kaewpathum, Mayor of Klet Kaeo Subdistrict Municipality, said that the project will stimulate the local economy, generate employment opportunities, and tangibly improve the quality of life for residents in the surrounding area.

With its strategic positioning in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and focus on premium, sustainable experiences, One Chichan is poised to redefine live entertainment and tourism in eastern Thailand, drawing visitors seeking alternatives to overcrowded urban venues.
