Pattaya, Thailand – December 20th, 2025 – The shores of Pattaya Beach came alive last evening as the “Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race 2025” kicked off its 9th edition, drawing more than 5,000 participants from Thailand and 28 countries worldwide in a colorful celebration of fitness, fun, and tourism.
The opening ceremony took place at 5:30 p.m. in front of Central Pattaya shopping center, presided over by Isara Charoenchaisri, Vice Governor of Chonburi Province. Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet joined the event, alongside Dr. Natkit Tangpoolsinthana, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Pattaya Public Company Limited, who delivered the opening report on the event’s objectives.Distinguished guests included Banglamung District Chief Anusak Piriyayothorn, Rattanachai Sutthidechanai representing the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Chaiwat Tamthai, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Pattaya Office, executives from Central Pattaya, vice presidents of the Pattaya Business and Tourism Association, and representatives from supporting public and private sectors.
Mayor Poramese expressed gratitude to all partners for their continued support, describing the event’s role in promoting Pattaya’s tourism, stimulating the local economy, and reinforcing the city’s image as a premier Sports City, Sports Tourism hub, and Sports Destination. He explained that every participant contributes to sustaining Pattaya’s enduring tourism sector.This year’s race, themed “The Coral and Pearl Edition” – evoking the beauty and treasures of the sea – is hailed as Thailand’s sexiest beach run.
The 5-kilometer race started at 5:50 p.m. from the beachfront near Central Pattaya, heading along Central and North Pattaya roads before looping back to the finish line at the starting point. The beach was packed with enthusiastic runners, health enthusiasts, and spectators, creating a lively atmosphere filled with attractive participants in eye-catching attire.Adding to the excitement were celebrity appearances, including popular actor Aum Atichart Chumnanon, joined by over 30 sexy running influencers who brought extra energy and glamour to the event.
The evening concluded with a high-energy concert by the band Season Five, entertaining runners and attendees alike.Organized with the goal of boosting Pattaya’s appeal as an everyday destination, the event shows the city’s commitment to sports tourism and community-driven economic growth.
