Anyone that has been here a while knows that the man behind Fabulous 103 fm is a stand up guy, he’s a straight talker and he was one of the first to step up and use his reach to help Pattaya.

I have done this article because I am amazed at how much Tom, Megan and his team is doing during this period despite a few aches and pains that he has. And while (I assume) his business like many are suffering.

When NWG did 18 days at giving out food, we stopped it because of a lack of funding but hanging around with Tom and seeing what he was doing inspired me to stand up and start fundraising again. He helped me kickstart our handout with fresh supplies.

Fabulous 103fm started this gogetfunding page just before April 20th   https://gogetfunding.com/fabulous-103fm-food-funding-for-the-poor-in-pattaya-thailand/ and has raised around 1.2m. (as of writing 28th of May)

Tom, Megan and his team have been buying as much food (canned fish, noodles, rice, eggs, water etc) as he can with the money he receives and stocking almost all the giveaways around town (that ask) with no more than 50% on occasion.  He dropped some rice off at our giveaway without us asking as he was driving around looking for handouts,  then he started getting many organisations and businesses contact him as they slowly ran out of funds.

Many handouts have run out of food right now, many have given up.  But Fabulous 103fm is still getting donations in and they are still helping organisations and businesses hand out food.  NWG is not at the stage of helping others yet, we are getting ourselves covered until the 15th of June 2020 then we will hand out to others if we get excess funding. (we suspect our bars can open around the 15th of June,  if they stay closed we will try and continue)

Tom, Megan and his team have been helping poor locals near his business also (out in soi chaiyapruk 2) by regularly handing out hundreds of dry food packs,  but right now he is going back to being a food bank because just that alone takes half of his day.

Tom used his music contacts to get a few appeal videos made with Suzi Quatro. Megan and Bae worked hard on getting the video edited to perfection. (below)

As a business owner here, watching all these donations come in, is proof to me that he has a very good reach and is worth paying for advertising.

Tom is connected to many local Thai musicians in Pattaya, many have sold their instruments such as electric guitars, if anyone can donate any equipment, he will be happy to find well-deserving homes.
