Pattaya —

Pattaya City held a grand celebration for Pride Month with the Pattaya International Pride Festival 2024, themed “Pride for All,” yesterday evening, June 22nd.

The event featured a Pride parade, which saw thousands of people including Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin in attendance. The festival aimed to promote equality, advocate for the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community, and celebrate Thailand’s recently passed same-sex marriage legislation.

Prime Minister Srettha attended the opening ceremony at Central Pattaya shopping mall and enthusiastically waved the rainbow flag to signify his support for the LGBTIQ+ community.

The festival was a collaborative effort between Pattaya City, the Sisters Foundation, Central Pattaya Shopping Center, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and over 100 other organizations.

The highlight of the event was a flamboyant Pride parade that started at 4:00 PM. The parade featured participation from over 100 organizations and thousands of people, including beauty queens, pageant contestants, celebrities, models, influencers, and tourists.

The festival also included grand shows and concluded with mini-concerts by renowned artists such as Prang Prangthip, Tao Tassanai, and Pearja.

But this is not the end. The Pattaya International Pride Festival 2024 will run until today, June 23rd, with the One Man One Woman on the Beach 2024 beauty pageant starting at 6:00 PM.
