In a bid to cement its status as a Sports City and a hub for Sports Tourism, Pattaya is poised to welcome the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Shotgun World Shoot 2023.
The city is gearing up for the prestigious event, set to take place from November 24th to December 10th, with an opening ceremony scheduled for December 3rd.
Preparations were discussed and solidified in a meeting chaired by Mr. Surat Thepchaitot, the Director of the Pattaya Tourism and Sports Office, at Pattaya City Hall on Monday, November 13th.
Pattaya, in collaboration with the National Shooting Sports Association of Thailand, will host the IPSC Shotgun World Shoot 2023 at the Sports Authority of Thailand’s Regional Training Center situated in the Banglamung district of Chonburi province. The venue promises to offer state-of-the-art facilities and prioritize safety for the anticipated 800 athletes hailing from 50 countries.
The grand opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 3rd at the North Pattaya Beach area, adjacent to the Dusit Thani Hotel. The event aims not only to showcase the competitive spirit of practical shotgun shooting but also to promote firearm-related art, with an estimated 1,000 attendees.
Pattaya’s meticulous preparations underscore a commitment to ensuring a seamless and secure experience for participants and spectators alike. With a focus on safety and convenience, the city is poised to not only boost its local economy and tourism sector but also enhance its global reputation as a Sports City and a premier destination for Sports Tourism.
