Pattaya —

More than 1,400 runners are expected to participate in the upcoming “Yolorun 2024 International” in Pattaya on March 17th, 2024.

The event, co-organized by Pattaya City, Fairtex Sports Club & Hotel, and Yolorun Malaysia, aims to promote tourism, encourage health and fitness, and solidify Pattaya’s position as a sports and sports tourism destination.

On March 5th, Dr. Siwat Boonkerd, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City, chaired a meeting at the Pattaya City Hall to prepare for the organization of the event. Relevant organizations participated in the meeting to coordinate various aspects of the competition.

The Yolorun 2024 International is an international event taking place in four countries: Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. The Pattaya leg of the event will be held on Pattaya Beach along Pattaya Sai 2 Road and Pattaya-Naklua Road.

The event will feature three race categories: 10-kilometer race starting at 5:45 AM, 5-kilometer race starting at 6:00 AM, and 2-kilometer fun run for children starting at 6:10 AM.

The starting point for all races will be in front of the Fairtex Sport Club on North Pattaya Road.

Registration for the race has already closed with a total of 1,400 participants, with 85% coming from abroad. This international participation is expected to significantly boost the local economy in Pattaya, according to Dr. Siwat.
