Pattaya —

Representatives from Pattaya City attended the Thai Festival in Moscow 2023 on Friday, August 4th, to promote local cultural heritage in the hope to attract Russian people to Thailand and in particular Pattaya.

Mr. Sasiwat Wongsinsawat, the Thai Ambassador to Moscow, and Mr. Vyacheslav Manuilov, Deputy Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, participated in the welcoming and opening of the Thai Festival in Moscow event along with Ms. Tithipan Petchtrakul, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya. The ceremony took place at the Hermitage Garden in Moscow, Russia.

The Thai Festival in Moscow is an annual event held by the Thai Embassy in Moscow. This year, the event is organized by the city of Pattaya, the Chonburi Provincial Administration, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

The event features a demonstration of “Thai Beautiful Boxing,” a contemporary adaptation of traditional Thai boxing, as well as locally crafted woven products from Amphoe Phanat Nikhom. This is all part of the “Creative Journey to Thailand 2023” concept, aimed at presenting Thailand’s creativity and attracting Russian people to visit Thailand and Pattaya.
