It has been a week of amazing sunsets in the Pattaya area which is slowly starting to recover from long-term lockdowns and restrictions from Covid-19. Nearly every weekend domestic visitors, especially from Bangkok, are flocking back to local beaches, restaurants, and malls and over the past week have been delighted by a variety of beautiful sunsets.
The environment in Pattaya has improved according to most visitors, caused by 20 months without millions of international tourists. True, some Covid-19 restrictions remain, notably the closure of Pattaya’s famous (and notorious) nightlife and entertainment industry. However, it seems many domestic Thai tourists are not overly bothered by this and have enjoyed the city over the past several weeks.
